Our Village Hall is a community facility and makes a perfect venue for a wide variety of indoor events across all age groups. These can include meetings, group activities, social events and performances. It is also available for private hire for events such as conferences, exhibitions, receptions, classes, and parties.
It comprises two hireable rooms, which can be booked separately or together, and has a fully equipped kitchen (with serving hatch into the supper room) that has its own crockery and cutlery for up to 100 guests.
The tables and comfortable chairs in the main hall can be laid out in a variety of configurations, and there is staging which can be pre-assembled if requested. In addition, there is a projector screen, a PA system (with a loop system for the hard of hearing) and high speed internet connection with free Wi-Fi. The building is fully centrally heated throughout.
NB: Potential hirers would need to contact the bookings secretary for up to date capacity figures. These may vary as recommended guidelines change due to Covid
The capacity of the main hall depends on how it is set out and used. For example for a ‘standing only’ reception, the absolute maximum capacity is 184. When in theatre layout (rows of seats facing a stage) the capacity can be up to 80 depending on the size of stage required. For a cabaret layout (with some guests seated at tables) it will reduce to around 66. When enquiring, please specify the sort of layout you would like and we can then advise on permitted numbers.
The supper room can hold up to 18 people seated and will need to be included in your booking if you intend to use the kitchen.
There is ‘disabled parking’ adjacent to the main entrance and all activity areas are wheelchair accessible. There is a properly equipped ‘disabled toilet’ in the main lobby area.
Hire rates depend on how long you would like the hall for, and which facilities you would like to use. Timewise, we book out by session – morning, afternoon and evening ( 8am till 1pm | 1pm till 6pm | 6pm till midnight).
Fees per session are-

- Supper room £20.00
- Kitchen (for catering purposes) £10.00
- Whole building £55.00
